Give publishing power to the staff who have the relevant information

Assigning Webmaster Privileges

Provide webmaster access to select features and locations on the site to those who have content to post. Select staff can be granted privileges to edit and create on the various home page pods, the emergency announcements, the district employment section, to any organization, or to any specific page created by the site webmaster.

Here are some examples...

  • Principals and superintendents can easily create and edit their own home page messages.
  • The webmaster can create a page detailing the weekly lunch menu and then grant access to edit that page (but not delete or move) to the person who best knows the food service schedule.
  • The activity director can upload and post images in the image gallery
  • The secretary can post the daily bulletin as well as the monthly newsletter
  • Human resources can manage their own employment vacancy listings
  • Teachers and even parent volunteers can be granted webmaster privileges over an activity, club, or athletic team
