Let your homepage shine with a custom look and relevant content
The Front Page
Create and manage a stunning homepage that your viewers can rely on for relevant information and updated images. Use dynamically driven "pods" that can be customize for maximized organization and layout.
Pod examples include..
- Announcements - Post and archive announcements when you want and allow visitors to subscribe to these announcements
- Events Calendar - Automatically display the next X number of events on the school calendar.
- Custom Messages - "Message from the Principal". "Thank You to Sponsors". "Today's Fun Facts". You name it! You can have create a custom pod that can even have automatic archiving of previous posts
- Periodicals - School newsletters, agendas, minutes... Post them on the homepage with a short message and have the previous issues automatically archived
- Image Gallery - Upload images and captions to cycle through at a given time interval or with each page refresh
- Links and File Attachments
- RSS Feed - Keep your viewers up to date on the latest education or school related news
Pod layout is handled in one of two ways.
- Column View - The main content area of the page is divided up into four regions - top, center, right, and bottom. With a simple drag and drop you can rearrange the order and column placement of the pods. It's just that easy.
- Open HTML and CSS - For finer control you can code the html and css of your content area design by hand and simply insert "pod identifier" codes to tell the k12pages engine where to insert the pods. With this method of page design, the possibilities are endless.
