Announcements

Use the WYSIWYG editor to create rich and attractive announcements that post and archive when you specify.

  • Users can subscribe to announcements and receive them automatically by email.
  • Announcements are handled using a queue system, with a 10 to 30 minute delay between the creation and the time the announcement posts and is emailed. This allows the creator a few minutes to catch any error before they are mailed out to the subscribers.
  • Announcements can also be put in "draft" mode, where they will stay indefinitely until you choose to post them.
  • Archived announcements can be run again, thus saving the time needed to recreate or copy the information.
  • The sender of the announcement is automatically sent a copy of the email in order to verify the email was sent and to see what the subscribers received.
  • Teachers and organization webmaster can see a list of who is subscribed to the announcement, including the subscriber's name, email address, and relationship to the school (student, parent, staff member, or other).
  • Teachers can select any or all of their classes to post a particular announcement to.
  • New class announcements are posted on the OneStop page of all students and parents tracking that course.

Announcements are available on each teacher course page, each organization page (athletics, clubs, committees, etc.), and the school and district home pages.
