to Dryden's Battle Teams for a job well done!

Our 6th grade team of Daniel Clayton, Ronnie Hansen, Dunya Hermann and Michael Moulton, with coach Gianotti, placed 3rd in the District Battle.  Way to go!

In the 7/8 District Battle the Dryden team of Becky Erickson, Brooklin Jensen, Marina McDowell won!  This team, with alternate Calley Odum, competed in the state Battle on Tuesday the 16th, via teleconference.  They placed 22nd out of 34 teams.

Good job Eagles!

Battle of the Books

Congratulations to the winners of 2009-2010 State Battle of the Books!

 Battle of the Books is a statewide reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Alaska Association of School Librarians. The goals of the program are to encourage and recognize students who enjoy reading, to broaden reading interests, increase reading comprehension and promote academic excellence. 

 During the week of February 15th over 44 Alaska School Districts, 141 teams, 600 students competed for top honors in their grade level.
